As seen on WWE Raw last night, WWE announced that Chris Jericho will be making his TV return at next week’s big Raw 25 special, airing live from New York City.

According to Wrestling Observer Radio, the announcement was made by WWE with no official deal in place between the company and Chris Jericho, and something is expected to be finalized this week.

As for Jericho’s New Japan Pro Wrestling status, NJPW officials reportedly knew Jericho was planning to appear at Raw 25 when they began working with him, so his appearance in WWE is not an issue with NJPW. Furthermore, Jericho is not under any kind of exclusive deal with NJPW, so he can pretty much do as he pleases in terms of appearing in promotions.

Possibility Of Former Impact Stars In the Rumble

As we noted over the weekend, top Impact Wrestling stars Bobby Lashley and EC3 finished up with the company, and WWE is said to be interested in signing both of the former World Champions.

With regards to their potential surprise appearances in the Royal Rumble match, is reporting that a Rumble appearance is possible for EC3, however, it’s not possible for Bobby Lashley, as he is reportedly unable to sign with another company until February 1st due to his existing Impact Wrestling deal.
