Brazilian forward Vinicius netted an impressive 24 goals for Benfica last season, enjoying a fantastic debut campaign at the Estadio da Luz having joined from Monaco last summer.
His form throughout 2019/20 caught the attention of a host of clubs, with Spurs ‘insisting’ on the signing of Vinicius for a fair while.
But TVI24 say Leicester and Palace are similarly keen, though all three Premier League sides face the same problem – they cannot afford Vinicius’ asking price.
Benfica signed the 25-year-old for just £15m last summer and inserted a £91m release clause in his contract, and the good news is they are not holding out for that release clause to sell.
However, they sill want around £46m for Vinicius and Spurs, Leicester and Palace are struggling to match such a fee.
