Who would you rather have in your team, Phil Foden or Bruno Fernandes? Danny Mills is in no doubt about who he prefers.

Manchester United key man Fernandes and Manchester City’s young Englishman are both top players in their own right.

But on Tuesday night, which saw City confirmed as Premier League champions, a debate on Kick Off developed about who’s is the better player.

And Mills hailed Foden as the superior of the pair, arguing the 20-year-old would be ahead of the Portuguese in the pecking order if they both played for the same side.

The talkSPORT pundit said: “Does Bruno Fernandes get into that [Man City] side on a regular basis? He’d be there or there abouts…

“Foden could drop into that position [attacking midfield]. Could he play ahead of Foden, probably not?”

Kick Off host Hugh Woozencroft had to step in though, suggesting Mills made his judgment too quickly.

After a some funny toing and froing, Mills added: “Bruno Fernandes is nowhere near… Foden turns up in the big games, Bruno Fernandes doesn’t! He goes missing more than half the time!”
