Hagi, 21, has made 12 appearances for the Gers this season and scored three goals – including a memorable brace against Braga which helped his side reach the last 16 of the Europa League.
Hagi, who has also been capped ten times by Romania and nominated twice for the European Golden Boy, is set to join the club permanently when the transfer window opens in the summer.
He starred in the UEFA European Under 21s Championship, scoring against Croatia and England, helping Romania progress to the semi finals.
The 21-year-old told the Rangers website: “I am excited about rejoining the squad for pre-season and putting on the famous shirt once again.
“There was interest from other clubs, but my priority was always to return to Glasgow and play for Rangers.
