Sami Zayn was one of the most promising young talents to emerge from NXT when it was still in its most beloved stages. Ever since Zayn was called up to the main roster however, he hasn’t exactly been the main eventer that most fans were hoping he’d be. Zayn still has yet to capture a title on the main WWE shows and has been mainly relegated to putting over newer stars that come to the main roster. Zayn may not be in the one of the most desired positions as of now, but new reports seem to suggest that “The Underdog from the Underground” may be set to achieve some much better opportunities for himself in the near future.
New information from has claimed that Zayn is set to receive a major push that will likely propel him into the main event scene. It is unclear if this means that Zayn is going to be mixing it up with main eventers for a while or if he is going to be given major title shots, or anything else along those lines. It is being said though that Zayn should be receiving his push not long after this year’s SummerSlam pay-per-view. Sami Zayn has been doing a ton of great in-ring work and charity work for the company in recent years, so the company could be rewarding him soon. Earlier this year, it was reported that Zayn had heat with officials backstage, so we’ll have to wait and see just what the future holds for Sami Zayn.
You may or may not remember that, when John Cena returned to WWE last month, he was advertised as a “free agent” who could appear on Raw or Smackdown. Despite this, Cena still has yet to actually appear on television over on Raw. However, he is now advertised to appear at Raw live events on August 12th in Maine, August 13th in Massachusetts, and September 3rd in Iowa. Wrestling News Co. claims that John Cena is going to be working on Raw shows much more in August, but no information on Cena working television shows was given. Despite this, if Cena does appear on television on Monday nights, the belief is that it won’t be until after this year’s SummerSlam.
