Liverpool will sell THREE players this summer to fund a move for Timo Werner, the RB Leipzig forward. The Reds have long wanted Werner, who has scored 21 goals in only 26 Bundesliga matches this season, but the financial fallout of coronavirus means they will be unable to splash the cash this summer. However, Liverpool have figured out they can raise the necessary funds for Werner by cashing in on Xherdan Shaqiri, Harry Wilson and Marko Grujic. (The Athletic)

Jurgen Klopp has personally phoned Werner to convince him to move to Anfield, reports claim. The Germany ace wants to join Liverpool rather than stay in his homeland amid rival interest from Bayern Munich, but Werner is unlikely to displace Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane or Roberto Firmino from the starting XI, while he will surely not accept a bench role given his reputation in the game.
